Ardeen is a comfortable and friendly guest house, we enjoy the company of visitors, many of whom become friends, from all over the world, especially people returning from America to the ancestral home of Ireland. Many Irish Americans left Ireland from Cobh and it is a significant place to visit on their trip back to the homeland.

Cobh is an excellent centre for Anglers wishing to catch the abundant supply of fish both inside and outside the harbour. Some large rays are being caught off the Turbot bank inside the harbour as are good sized cod up to the 20lb mark. Outside the harbour are a number of reefs and wrecks offering great sport with Cod, Ling, Pollack, Coalfish, Whiting, Conger and many other species of fish including to occasional Mediterranean species such as the John Dory. Shark fishing in the summer months is very popular with good sized blue sharks being taken on a regular basis. We can arrange a charter boat should fishing be your interest or perhaps a dolphin watch around the beautiful Cork coastline.
